The Lost Poem by Jessica Foyle

The Lost

Fall like ash into your burning slumber
Coarse speech, black deeds
Opened eyes in wonder
Bitterness like waves upon a shore
And anguish flowing from your every pore.
I watched you from behind your silver screen
I saw the you that should have been.

Victimized your soul to please
Turns you scarlet, black and blue
And fall unto your knees
Swallow down your sultry screams
Sins that trap you in your dreams
Resist, don't run you'll fall and break
Your very life's at stake.
