The Man Who Would Be King Poem by Chris Embrick

The Man Who Would Be King

A man set his heart on wisdom
His knowledge brought him much acclaim
But he made the wrong decision
That all mankind revered his name
His self-importance clipped his wings
His lustful pride caused him to fall
Alas, the man who would be king
Became the biggest fool of all.
