The Marred Soul Poem by Corinne Watt

The Marred Soul

Bent and twisted the marred soul, with a
dent in its self-belief imposed by others who can't
prevent the destructive cycle of sinning against sinners.
Agent of the devil unknowing that God sent
Christ the cycle breaker who willingly went
loving them to death, as the curtain
rent in two destroying the division - if they only
repent and realise their bound condition,
relent of their inbred mischief and accept a most
excellent salvation giving
content peace and cleansing
that the soul be marred no more.
