The Middle Of Nowhere Poem by JOHNNY COBB

The Middle Of Nowhere

Vacation is a special time
We look forward to each year.
Can't wait to take my family to
The middle of nowhere.

An hours drive off the black-top
To Chaco Canyon, New Mexico
'Midst petroglyphs and Indian ruins.
That's where I want to go.

Our log cabin in the Smokies,
A lonely lighthouse on the Canadian coast,
Hiking in the rain forests of Costa Rica,
That's what we enjoy most.

Strolling through a field of edelweiss
Or sleeping in a castle on the Rhine,
I'll take a picnic in the Alps
Over Disney World, anytime.

An airboat ride in the Everglades,
Or a ghost town in the Old West,
A trip to the middle of nowhere
Is what we enjoy best!
