The Moral Of The Story Of The Ant And The Grasshopper Poem by Raj Dronamraju

The Moral Of The Story Of The Ant And The Grasshopper

Rating: 5.0

I really wasn't prepared for Arthur's maneuver and subsequent disappearance
I really wasn't prepared for boys and girls terrorist theater
I really wasn't prepared for a duller, less crafty Macbeth

Nobody lists me as an emergency contact on their paperwork
Nobody packs sandwiches into picnic baskets
Nobody refills my water bottle or refills life

Caterpillar headed past decade's lodger
His cumulus nimbus is the fury of the non-believer
Count your toes and fingers and make it a thesis statement

It doesn't matter what you suffer or sing
Or put together as arts and crafts
Or not being prepared for animal acumen
All dancing ants to be cut down by the blame of the grasshopper and the inevitable winter
