The Mystery Of Women Poem by Allan Thorne

The Mystery Of Women

A woman friend of mine
Told an on line lover
That she was five foot six,
Forty-five years old,
And weighed
One hundred and thirty five pounds.

She was in fact
Barely five feet tall,
Fifty-five years old,
And probably weighed
Two hundred pounds.
(Think of a beach ball with legs)

I suppose these things
Happen all the time
On the Internet.

The crazy part is
That she actually
Went to meet the guy.

Several months later
I am still trying
To get my head around that.
