The New Dawn Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

The New Dawn

Be firm, steadfast and strong,
Abounding in faith, hope, and love;
Get it on and redouble the effort,
striving for the prize from above.

Only the finishers of the race,
Not the backsliders will take
God's promised crown of life
on the day when things are in place.

Start asking God to turn the night
Into morrow's beautiful morn;
Let the new day begin,
dawning for the sad and forlorn.

As the waiting is not over yet,
Never give up the fight;
Get up on your feet,
for the new dawn will shine so bright.
