I have a new view of love
It’s a lot different then before
Because the one thing that I wanted
Was right outside the door

I have over looked it many times
And it’s really hard to see
That the one thing really I wanted
Was right in front of me

I don’t know what caused me
To stray from my normal path
But it led me straight to you
And brought up Mother’s raft

After being under the spotlight
You slowly made your way
Into my wants so normal routine
Of each and every day

You crept your way up
To the top of my priority chain
And created these feelings in me
That were so hard to contain

I guess I’ve seen it differently
And I think you’ve seen it too
I have a new view of love
And the reason is you
