The Night Falls Poem by Neela Nath Das

The Night Falls

Rating: 5.0

This world sometimes becomes harsh,
So harsh that the bright sunlight dims.
No more days shall I live,
Always it seems.
The backyard which was the
Source of all delight
Now comes to gobble me up.
The day then turns dark.
I call my brother to come back
From there, 'cause he is there alone.
None comes out but the cricket's call'
Adds fear to the world unknown.
Mother cries and I cry,
As he won't be back.
The night falls with peach black scene,
Around my love now I lack.
