The Old Year Died And Disappeared Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Old Year Died And Disappeared

The old year died and left
That was a happy death
The entire world was in joy
Excited as though a new toy
Was flying in the atmosphere
A new spirit is indeed in the air.

The New Year brought fun and hope
Never mind the rain and the snow
The children are playing on the slick slope
They welcome a new number with a bow
This New Year is here to stay
Until 365 days are chased away

Wonderful job, Hebert, with the rhyming, as well as with the thoughts & images so brilliantly conveyed in this poem!
