I am the thing that keeps you close
I make you think
You turn me round and round
You slide me up and down

I have never felt lonely when your there
You fulfill my expertise
It will be priceless
It will cost thousands

It has a tendency to show the true nature of people
It can trap you for a lifetime
It could free you and take care of you
But, it does not have any special powers

It will bring tears
It will bring smiles
And it will bring happiness
Or it will bring the ultimate heart break.

I am metallic by nature
but golden figuratively
I am realistically small
but hug by meaning

You can call me whatever you want
You can call me a commitment
But it does not matter what you call me
