The One I Love Poem by Seun Bewaji

The One I Love

For the one I love
I leave this throne
Its pomp and pleasure
The glory and glamour
Its fame and fans

For the one I love
I bear the shame
I fear no gallows
I endure the shackles
I bear the burnt

With the one I love
I can trek the world
Scale every height
Jump the dreadful gorge
Navigate the angry ocean

I rest I her arms
Recline in her bosom
Ravish with her love
Charm by her smile
Hook by her gesture
