The One Who Went Astray Poem by Margo Reid

The One Who Went Astray

I saw the sparkle in your eyes;
The first time I met you.
There’s no need for telling lies;
You were my whole view.

In the morning mist, I think of you
Always the one on top of my list everyday
I always search for things to do
But then I wish you never went away.

I remember the blow in my ear
That makes me shiver, when you’re near
The sensual touch of your soft lips
The handcuff and black leather whips
These are memories now
I wish we never had part
I need you here somehow
But deep inside, there’s a place for you in my heart.

I try to gather all the information
On what when wrong
I wonder; was it lack of communication
Why our relationship didn’t last long

You were the only one I had love for sure
I will remember the last kiss forever-more
