Can you remember a time?
When we were so alive
A time when we forgot the strife
And just lived out our life
Together when you loved me
And we were happy
It was just us
When we didn’t care about others
Somehow though everything has changed
You don’t feel the same
I won’t get used to this
My heart is stained
It has been taken
Or rather given
Every place you go
Each country you see
You’ll carry me, all of me, because that’s what I gave you
I’m not sorry, I have no regrets, none but one
That I can’t make you happy
