The Orphans Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

The Orphans

I could not believe my eyes
What I saw in the orphanage,
My mind and heart danced with joy,
When I witnessed the orphans laughing and playing and singing together in great rhythm.
I thought about the other day,
When I had visited the place
And seen their dreary and gloomy faces,
I had been anxious and panicky since then.
But the things had changed with the passage of time,
I understood it in heart that
These days they had certainly developed
The bonds of affection, friendship and brotherhood among themselves.
I became perfectly delighted and proud to sing in the pleasant and relaxed mood for the orphans in the orphanage;
'This is your real home, an abode of infinite peace and happiness.'
