The Passage Poem by Tina Sena

The Passage

My love was old
so I sent it away
then all this came
and I dont know
where to go
I wish I had
known

My love was heavy
so I set it adrift
then you said
something uplifting
and I feel too light
floating without a weight
and
I wish I had
known

The world was ending
but we began
The world was behind us
but we moved along

My love was for another
so I left it with him
he took it with him
and now he is gone
and my love should
move on
I wish I had known
when to expect
it to return.
