The Past Doesn't Stay Hidden Poem by Quincy Moses

The Past Doesn't Stay Hidden

Rating: 5.0

My past keeps creeping up on my shoulders
I can hear it's whispers
I feel it's warm breath on my neck
Towering over my head are the clouds of my past
Under my feet the sands of time

Let my past stay hidden
Let the shadows of death envelope it
Buried and covered in dirt
Lost and burnt in the flames of time

Nowhere to run
No place to hide
Lost in the present
Distanced from the future
And caught up in my past

Let my past stay hidden
Let the shadows of death envelope it
Buried and covered in dirt
Lost and burnt in the flames of time
