The Past Lingers Poem by Joyce Hemsley

The Past Lingers

Written for my
Late Husband
and eldest Son.

There's serenity
and peacefulness
in the morning air
around your Stone.
I stand beside you both
recalling happiness
we've known. Flowers
I have gathered from
the cottage ~
once called 'home'
and I will forget you
never, wherever
I may roam.
