The Peculiarity Of Success Poem by Frank Adie

The Peculiarity Of Success

Rating: 3.5

If you wear my eyeglasses,
You will see things my way
We are two different people
Brewed by different fate
You are you, I am I
I cannot be like you

You think I am a failure
Because I am not like you
If you have fought my battles
You won't judge me thus
Success wears different garbs
Don't undermine my own
You are you, I am I
I cannot be like you

Eleven players make up a football team
Each one with his own role
It doesn't discredit the talent of others
Because one is a superstar
Success is a peculiar thing, unique to every man
Yours is yours, mine is mine
And that is the way it is.
