The Place Of No Return Poem by Princess Moultrie

The Place Of No Return

what makes someone what they are
the eyes of that beholder stare into a new darkness
one that gives nothing in return
you send your soul out
your mind
your body
yet it takes takes takes
and leaves you with nothing
the trees sway from left to right
as the wind howls out a name
you climb of the billowing trees
seeing things from new sights
at dangerous heights
i watch in shock and horror
hoping youll make it down
back to safety
the darkness in the thicke is odd
it calls
voices speak out
hands reach down
grabbing at all, at everything
someone is gone
lost forever in the place of no return
