The Player Poem by Kelsey Decker

The Player

You played me like a fool
Left my heart in a trap
Fighting truth for lies
But yet you continue this game

At day your in the gym
Gazing In wondering
My mind starts to think
We're you ever worth it
Worth losing my self over

In class you keep looking
Looking her way smiling
I can't help but roll my eyes
For she don't know your games

You always tell us girls
"I love you, I mean it"
Do you? Or you just playing
Because it don't seem like it
For you always leave, after a week

I can't sleep at night
For your always on my mind
Those girls you played
Did you really feel that way
Yet I can't help but wonder
Are you worth fight for?

They gaze and flutter all around you
Batting there eyes, smiling
Yet do you ever think
Maybe someone out there loves me
Even though I'm way I am

Soon enough in years time
You will see the truth
You lost a diamond
Searching through all those rocks
