as promised
i will write you a poem,
something like a strawberry,
shining reddish heart-shaped
smelling like strawberry
in your room,

as promised this will just
be a strawberry poem
one that you can bite
luscious to your lips
sweet and swallowed by you
in your loneliness.

and you shall consume it
and then just like anything sweet
and beautiful,
like the sunflower I sent you
the other day,

they are always gone.
they cannot stay forever
with us.
