The Price Poem by zaheer uddin

The Price

You asked the price i'd pay
to buy your pains away
you never cared to look into
the message of my prayer

i promised you the moon and stars
and things beyond the sky
you never cared to peek into
the journey of my soul- -

Some sacred pearls ive saved
from the earnings of my pain
a lonely soul that walks the earth
in search of truth divine- -
These frozen tears
This lonely soul
This broken heart i've got
ive no treasures of the world
to bargain for your heart- - -
