The Rainy Nights Of Lonesome Poem by Lance Carthen

The Rainy Nights Of Lonesome

The rain keeps a poorin
Another day goes by
Yet here I sit so lonely
With only my thoughts to mind
When Im lost inside her face
Im taken to a whole new place
But as long as it keeps rainin
I think I'll be okay
This is my life
Going down a whole new road
This is my life
The rest of the story goes..
How many times did I hold her tight
I swear I loved her so
Swearing nothing bad could ever happen
The good lords in control
It seems like that was yesterday
As I stare out this old window
A tear falls to the ground
Without making a sound
Hitting the floor below
God, do I miss her
The beautiful person she was
But as long as it keeps rainin
I know I can rise above
This is my life
Going down a whole new road
This is my life
A story left untold
