of us down to this age
of rebellion and revolt
of endlessly going astray

Failing to see his glory
in this endless acts of grace
Something in the story missing
the true choice of submission

Choosing the way of servanthood
of faithfulness to God
The drumbeat of His passion
in each time of rebellion

The story repeating
the people unable on their own
to stay reconciled with God,
come our savior, come!
