The Red Earth Poem by Jagannath rao Adukuri

The Red Earth

Recovering body and thought
Alone in the back of the van
I watch driver's silhouette against
The mountain's red earth.
Body falls into red earth pit
I keep eyes shut and let
The fish-worms swim
Behind closed eyelids
Body shines in crackling glow.
