The Referee Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

The Referee

S-aturday sky becomes clear
T-o brighten up the day;
E-ighteenth February warms you
W-ithout dark, blue, and gray.
A-llow the sun to come,
R-ising above the horizon;
T-wilight is just over, yielding to the break of dawn.

A-llow the haze to fade,
L-et the shadows vanish;
F-riday fog of the night
I-s starting to diminish.
L-et the man make sure
E-ach player promotes camaraderie;
R-ules of the game is applied and administered by the referee.
