The Rise And Fall Of Us Poem by Lucas Pate

The Rise And Fall Of Us

The precipice, the fall.
Your freedom, My death.
the burden of what i've done,
has grown to strong.
My death has released you,
from the chains that kept you down.
go on be free, fly away.
fly to your peak and watch me fall.
I thought i'd be the one to set you free,
but the whole the time the problem was me.
this fall was the greatest of them all.
i released you from your pain: me.
so be free, fly into the sunset, be all you can be, forget me.
live life knowing this fall was me, making up for keeping you grounded.
as i hit the ground, i feel the burden slowly leave me.
fly away, find your peak. your chains are gone, finally you're free.
