THE ROAD
The road of life stretched far and wide,
Way beyond my myopic sight,
Far beyond my measured life!
I kept running with a self-impelling
motion,
In this marathon, to reach my destination!
Soon I had left many milestones behind,
While many more lay ahead in time!
On this road I tried to come to terms,
Panting for breath which did some harm!
I reduced my pace to a slow motion,
Saving breath with mind in confusion!
But the road still stretched and continued,
Letting you to dropp off, should you feel
confused!
But a milestone you must silently choose,
As your epitaph, since the road has nothing
to lose!
I wonder if the road feels amused? !
