The Road I Walk Poem by becky tuffs

The Road I Walk

Along this road ahead i go,
Walking down the lane,
I never noticed this before,
But this road is not the same.

This road it looks so very dark,
But its always really bright,
I dont understand this,
It even shines at night.

My head is very mixed up,
I need to understand,
How can it just change like that,
yesterday it was grand.

I sat there upon a rock,
And looked from left to right,
I tried to figure all this out,
and then i seem the light.

This road is the path in life i walk,
And no its not the same,
A part of my heart is missing,
It will never be whole again.

It happened on the day you left,
The day god took your hand,
The day he told you no more pain,
Forever you will walk my land.

So i must change the path a walk,
And walk it without you,
But hey, you will walk it with me,
in spirit, I know this is true.
