The Rose Poem by kara towe

The Rose

The roots are web like and grow best in compost topped with mulch.
They need plenty of water too.
Woody stems sometimes have thrones and also bare three pieced ridged dark green leaves.
Tips of stems can have large blossoms that have spiraling smooth soft petals.
The center of bloom has a pleasant sugary scent.
Blooms are collected for giving to others.
Petals are gathered for their scent and adorning significant places.
Songs and many forms of literature feature these lovely blossoms.
Many artists have drawn and painted various depictions of them.
The rose comes in many colors and each has their own meaning.
Here are some examples;
Red symbolizes beauty, respect, courage, deepest love and devotion.
Orange: Desire, Enthusiasm, and Fascination.
Coral: Desire
Yellow: Joy, Gladness, Friendship, Delight, Promise of a new beginning, Welcome back, Remember Me, Jealousy.
Pink: Appreciation, “Thank you”, Grace, Perfect Happiness, Admiration, Gentleness, “Please Believe Me.”
White: Purity, Innocence, Silence, Secrecy, Reverence, Humility, Youthfulness, “I am worthy of you.” Heavenly.
Lavender: Love at first sight, Enchantment.
A throne-less rose also means “Love at first sight.”
So much can be said just by simply giving someone a rose.
What a marvelous flower!

This one is for you for stopping by. :)
