I’ve written and typed
The same words over
And over again
Hoping that new ideas
Will emerge

That I’ll touch the world
With my words
And change an idea
With this keyboard

The brain sends signals
Through the spinal cord
Telling my fingers which location
To push in order to spell
Out words that I formulate
In my head
And these words get printed
On paper for people to see with their
Eyes
And these pictures get sent
To their brain
To be interpreted and
After some time
To be decided

So will I live in another mind?
Will my words change lives?
I’ve written lines and formulated words
To impact souls and stir up roles

But as writers we live for something more
The science of it is beautiful
It’s like the brain sending messages to our palms
Formulating scripts and lines for us to affect
Others, and
Ourselves.
