The Shattered Ghost. Poem by Missy Melita

The Shattered Ghost.

Rating: 5.0

I stare the empty glass
Noiselessly and silently
With nothing outside my world
Just the echo of the scream.

The clock tick tacks.
Tick..tack..tick..tack..
I sob.
Tick..tack..tick..tack..
I gasp.

I wish I can blink
I wish I can touch
I wish I can hold
I wish the time rewind me back.

The memories shadow
Penetrate my core
Stab my body
Grab my dreams
Pull out my life.

I knew when
I recognized where
I wondered why
I identified who
But I didn't know why.

If I just can speak
And reveal the truth
Then I would escape
With no burden on my shoulder.

If I can release a word
Then the truth will stand still
As I begin my world
With joyfulness in my tears.

But it all just wishes
A fade wishes
It won't change anything
Everything will be same.

If true there is God
Let me point the trigger
That had grabbed my life
That had robbed my belongings
That had left sorrow all over my love

If I could be noticed by eye
Or be seen in a vague sight
Then I would state everything
Each soul that had harmed me.

If I could be seen and if I could speak
Then the evidence will be told, if I don't have to be a ghost.
