The Silence That Silenced The Foe Poem by Dorothy Kardas, Psy.D. Th.D.

The Silence That Silenced The Foe

To ask
And not to receive...
To ask
And to contend with the contrary,
To ask
And to bear the weight of obscurity,
To ask
And to strive against the mysterious,
To ask
And to meet with silence...

To ask
And not to receive,
Is to receive...

To ask
And never receive,
Is to be favored
With the greatest favor of all...
It is to be whole...
For to ask
And never receive,
Is to be
A pure victim of love...

A superb piece of work addressing the radical devotion to our Creator regardless of the circumstances... accepting all that He grants us in His providential and loving designs. Indeed, our love is true for God if we accept gratefully not only joys but pains and His silence...10+++

A message of profound significance... this is indeed the ideal we must attempt to strive for in our spiritual journey. 'To be the victim of love'... a penetrating realization and spiritually highly sophisticated thought. God bless...

Our loyalty to God is real when all is accepted through the eyes of faith whether it satisfies us or not. If we only could see what we complain about from the perspective of eternity we would be absolutely content and thankful. Great title and excellent ending! 10!

Dr. Kardas, Another poetic work that reveals sharpness of your intellectual and theological insight and depth. It is better never to receive when we ask for the wrong and damaging things for our souls. The title eloquently says it all! Let the divine... perfect Will be done.10!
