The Silent Night Poem by Mai Murphy Venn

The Silent Night

The silent night
When stars are bright
With not a cloud in sight

No sound around
We are homeward bound
As we tread softly on the faint ground

Traveling into the unknown
With the light of stars glowing
Moving lightly as we are going

Out of sight, we move along
Now we hear the angles song
Labour pains now quite strong

A stable is an insight
We shall rest for the night
A baby is born under a starry light

Angles sing from everywhere
Sheppard's flocks come near
As the baby sleep with loving care
