The Snake Poem by Dr. Harry Hamburger

The Snake

Think snake is an enemy
he is your best friend
has been there from beginning
will stay until the end

Gives you what you want
keeps warm with roaring fire
sits there on left shoulder
and fulfills all your desires

When tell to go away
just comes back ever strong
leading down a crooked path
going from right to wrong

Only way to beat him
is not fight at all
just turn head to right
and listen to angel's call
