The Spies Tell Joshua What They Have Seen

Before the Israelites reached the promised land
Moses died.
Joshua became the leader.
He called two men to him.
'Go into the land,' he said.
'And see what we are up against.'
The men went to Jericho
And found a place to stay.
'You are in great danger,' said a woman.
'Hide yourselves among the flax
On the rooftop.'
When the soldiers were gone
She sent the men safely back to Joshua.
'God has brought us
To the promised land,' they told him.
'We can take it easily.'
