Tonight I'll rewrite this life
I'll turn it around and look around a bit
Tonight, I'll rewrite this tragedy
I'll just erase, write, and I'll sit
Thinking, pondering about how to rewrite my life
One by one, one line at a time
I've been given a chance to write a better story
A chance to change this tragedy of mine
I'll write a better story
One with hope, joy, and love
I'll write a symphony
That's what It'll be made of
I'll write a magnificent novel
I'll make it fun and I'll make it fair
It'll be a masterpiece
And everyone will care
I'll change the scenery and I'll paint new colors
I'll make the tragedy end tonight
It'll include you and me and everyone around
And it'll bring around a new light
But then in a sense
How could I bring hope?
How could I play judge
When we can already cope?
I can't decide what to keep and what to kill
I can't decide what's fair and what's not
I can't rewrite the story, when there wasn't one in stone
I can't decide what's to live and what's to rot
It can't be changed, this life of ours
It can't be conquered and set apart
It isn't fair but it has hope
It is bleak, but it still has heart
It'll be okay, because we know there's a story
It'll be fine, because we know how this ends
There might not be true love, but we have a choice
We can choose to mope or be good friends
Following life can be treacherous and hard
But it has hope if you really look
Rewriting the story just can't be done
But we can find the faith that someone once took
It can't be changed, this life of ours
It can't be conquered and set apart
It isn't fair but it has hope
It is bleak, but it still has heart
