The Sun Poem by lara solis

The Sun

Darkness enveloped the now dead city,

The only people who would dare set step out of their door where those who wanted the reality to hit them like a slap to the face,

The bodies, now taken by the only people with no right to them, left the red colour on the ground only war and honor could bring,

Suddenly and out of the mist came the brightest star,

And from one moment to another the pain of the lost evaporated and the peace and stillness once so rare in the loud place started to sink in,

Suddenly not everything seemed as lost as it was.
