The Tears That I Felt. Poem by Gangadharan nair Pulingat..

The Tears That I Felt.

Rating: 5.0

The tears that I felt in the morning
Heard the cry of the mother cat here living
Her children lost for ever, to her somehow
May be killed someone in her breed
May be jealousy behind the crime
Though nowhere to complain, and culprit held
She is only a cat, no one to represent
The world is denying justice to the animals
The trees, birds, and everything the species
Except the man where there are rules
There are specific code rules to punish the guilty
The garrisons, built in the town vicinity
So cruel we humans with the animal kingdom
Give a moment of conscience to hear
And to something to make things straight
Know we are only a part, strictly a part of animal kingdom
The rights in exclusive domain of us is unjust
