The Tour Continues Poem by James Lewis

The Tour Continues

As we leave my heart descending levels to the left, we're going past the ribs amidst the vessels in my chest,
you grab onto my arm so tight as things go sloshing by, I fear you may detach it like a wing from off a fly.

I told you that there's nothing in our travels you should fear, the volume's at its precipice you prob'ly couldn't hear,
my constant reassurances as we go down this road, with sound that's drowned and low we venture down into my soul.

I warn you baby hold my hand there's fog and dark'ning mist, we can't risk separating we'll be lost in this abyss,
these trips ain't frequent for me as my finger lifts and holds your chin, us'ually I'm by my lonesome when I do some soul sear-chin

There's bright light radiating from your frame as we embark, the same that lit the embers of my cold and lonely heart,
you sunrise through my essence like the dawn of day to come, the scene is very weird but there's an explanation hun.

My soul is just like TwoFace in a Dark Knight movie scene, there's one half filled with sunshine it's the half with you and me,
the other half is very dark the sky is black on black, where bodies lay around upended cars with tires flat.

See ev'ry moment with you is a warm and sunny day, you've changed my very landscape in a warm and sunny way,
but then there is that part of me which you have yet to reach, the darkness of my soul where folks are cold and dead to me.

We'll leave the dark alone because there's nothing to be done, come walk with me this way amongst the flowers and the sun,
you'll see the shrines of people who to me are very dear, it's where I stroll for solace take a look-see over here,

it's where I have yours isolated, off and on its own, ensuring that your light will keep the darkness from the dawn,
you see my father waving at us? From his comfy chair, I feel his spirit verifying that there's something here.

The Giants and the Lakers with a shrine of pads and pens, there's even TD North my soul is stackin benjamins,
my friends and all our children's what encompasses the tour, and as we venture back up top I know that I am sure,

that we will spend our lives together h31l nor highest tide, could burn or wash my love for you this guy will nicely glide,
through life upon the wings of love we'll do it side by side, I hope that you've enjoyed your tour my baby, nighty night.
