The Troubled Girl Poem by Melissa Barber

The Troubled Girl

Rating: 4.8

A girl sits in a cold and dark corner
Waiting for someone to come along
And save her from her misery and loneliness
Her hair dark as night
Her eyes so piercing that they could cut your skin
Bruises are all over her lifeless arms

Her hopes deep engraved in her heart
Scared for life
She swallows her screams
She’ll never be able to trust anyone again
Never be able to show her true colors
She waits for someone and something better to come along
