The True Temple Poem by Dr. Madan Gandhi

The True Temple

What worship is of any avail
when you stop not spilling blood
of your own brethren, all children of One God

In the name of an idol or stone
forgetting the true Lord and clinging to the clone:
the Satanic chimera of your brain?

The true temple and mosque is in your heart
where Love lights the lamp to dispel darkness
the gateless gate opens within!
(Yayati)
