The Untouched Book Poem by Apurva Jain

The Untouched Book

Rating: 5.0

I write on a blank page today,
fill it up with myself,
I'm not an open sky here,
but an untouched book on an age old shelf....

The cover of book is colorful,
glossy,
It depicts all the shimmer and shine,
But the pages aren't as flossy.....

The very first page depicts a kid inside,
The second one a healer,
The third shows off no sentiments,
Fourth one a sadness dealer.....

The pages seem filled with emotions,
sometimes confusion,
The pages are blank at times,
Screaming about undone crimes....

There's a new story on every page,
Filled with anxiety and with rage,
It's not what it seems at first,
It has strong friendship and broken trust.....

A million words may describe its soul,
and so may one,
Someone may describe it with just the cover,
and the one who reads may know none.....

All the book needs is to be touched,
All the book needs is to be understood,
All the book needs is to be loved by the reader
To be kept under the pillow, where the dreams would,
It's all the book needs,
and So do I...
So do I....
So do I.........
