The Villain, The Victim Poem by Damilare Tella

The Villain, The Victim

I broke every heart that ever loved me
I fed fat on their despair
Now my heart bleeds for you
But blood sweets your mouth like wine

A pound of my flesh in my mouth
My despair you will devour
Yesteryear, a villain.
Today, a victim
I hope one you meet your match, as I have met mine - you.
