The old lady down the way
Faithfully, I visit each day
Answering the door with glee
Joy it brings, plain to see
Warm cup of tea
As pleasing as can be
Slice of cake fills my plate
While her stories I await
Warm and cozy within
Sitting attentively, my hand on my chin
Telling tales of days gone by
While the time continues to fly
Daylight fading away
Time to end my brief foray
To my house I hurry
Before my parents start to worry
Evening prayers said
I snuggle within my bed
Tomorrow I'll return
From my friend, so much knowledge to learn
I returned once more
But their was someone else at the door
The old lady had gone away
To her Lord, she has gone to stay
