The Vocal Judgmental Poem by Francis Duggan

The Vocal Judgmental

Rating: 5.0

By the many materialism seem to impress
You are judged by your job and your postal address
By them you are judged more favourably by your career or the size of your car
Than the sort of person that you really are

It's a sad Human World to live in when your money and material possessions say more about you
Than the good things for others in life that you do
For they are great people the compassionate of mind
As they are generous and caring and loving and kind

It is the vocal judgmental majority we have for tothank
For celebrity worship, class distinction and social rank
Their comparing between those who have and have not they seem to enjoy
And on so doing any hope of equality in the Human World they completely destroy

They do not serve humanity well in truth one can say
And far too many of their sort in the Human World of today
Of more of the generous and compassionate and kind we are in need
As for the betterment of humanity they plant the seed.

We should not be judged by the physical things we possess but by how we use these things to serve humanity. Thank you. Kingsley Egbukole
