The Weak Kneed Little Fellow Poem by Francis Duggan

The Weak Kneed Little Fellow

John Howard just like a star struck school boy blush
Each time he gets to shake hands with George W Bush
And that look of admiration on his face for all to see
Not brought about by any feelings of equality.

When John addressed the Congress he did say
We like George W and the U.S.A.
And he meant all in Australia when he said we
He spoke for everyone including me.

Like all other races I like Americans though not all
And their politicians in many ways so small
And just like politicians everywhere
They have little concept of what's right and fair.

I did not ask John Howard for me to speak
He seems so patronizing and so weak
There are many in Australia nowadays who
Feel far more anti Government than I do.

to Address the U.S. Congress John Howard's biggest day
He told them we are with you all the way
And if George W decides to bomb Iraq
The support of Australia's Government he won't lack.

Perhaps if George W said we'll bomb Australia John would say
Good on you George and that too is okay
Respect and homage to you we will always pay
And like I say we're with you all the way.

If the present Australian Prime Minister ever wins the Nobel Prize
Then that would be more than a huge surprise
For incarcerating refugees his Government by misinformed voters empowered
You won't find any more weak kneed than Howard.

His address to the U.S. Congress only seem to magnify
The saying for to do a man's job you never send a boy
His so called speech won't live in history
And the weak kneed fellow did not speak for me.
