The Weather’s Closing In.
Once there were sunny days
Happy days, we all loved life without a care,
Only jokes and laughter to share
Running and skipping to the jaunty tune of life.
Then there were more cloudy days than before
And sadness descended on the world we knew
And happiness became less as the melancholy grew.
Now we’re all many years older and wiser of the world
Our eyes are very much wide open.
The world is even darker and much more deranged
Such a different place since everything changed.
Our happy skipping is dull and weary
And our lives are filled with fears
It’s getting far more difficult to remember those carefree sunny years.
