The Wish Poem by Ben Littlechild

The Wish

I wish she was here,
In the orbit of my arms
The glow of her smile, like a thousand suns.
The sweetness of her kiss, like a tropical ocean, kissing the golden sand.
These things, I wish
Were here with me

The depth of her eyes, like the starriest of nights.
The softness of her skin, like silk shimmering with touch
These things I wish
Were here with me

Her soul to strengthen mine,
Her laugh to make my heart dance
Her voice to calm the noise of the silence I endure
These things I wish,
Were here with me.
